Can I use your artwork for my project?
I offer licensing contracts for the use of existing art, and you can commission me for custom artwork unique to your project.
Please email me to discuss the details and get a quote. If you are in a hurry and on a tight deadline please make me aware of your time table up front!
Can I get a tattoo of your art?
Yes! Tattoos are the only use of my art that I do not charge a fee for, though I would love to see a photo of the finished piece. Please speak with your tattooist to find out if the artwork you want to use will be a good design for the kind of tattoo you want.
Tipping via paypal is appreciated!
What materials and programs do you use?
I prefer watercolors and inks for painting, though I also occasionally color my work digitally with Photoshop and other painting programs. For drawings I use felt liner pens, and brushes with ink. For sketching I use mechanical pencils with the thinnest, most brittle lead I can find. (This keeps me from using too much pressure on the paper.)
How did you start drawing?
I grew up in house in the woods in a small village far from the populated part of town, with no cable and parents who shunned video games. Between fueling my imagination with my library card and looking for salamanders under old logs I spent a lot of time drawing all of the crazy monsters I wished I could find hiding somewhere in my back yard.
Who are your artistic influences?
There are so many, but here are a few! Guillermo del Toro, Brian Froud, Alan Lee, Beatrix Potter, John James Audubon, Nico Marlet, John Howe, Peter De’Sève.
Do you have any non-art hobbies?
I play games with my friends (tabletop RPGs such as Eclipse Phase, Pathfinder, and FATE are popular with us). I also enjoy writing, books, learning about almost any subject, reading, movies, hiking, cooking, and tea.
